Our long-anticipated and pandemic-delayed 50th anniversary reunion event to celebrate 50 years since the arrival of DIGITAL in Galway in 1971 took place over the weekend of May 7th/8th 2022.
The reunion dinner on May 7th, preceded by a remembrance ceremony in honour of deceased colleagues, was attended by over 260 people from around the world. The event was a huge success and the organising committee has received a lot of positive feedback and thank-you emails for which we are extremely grateful.
On May 8th, we unveiled a plaque to the memory of Digital founder Ken Olsen and acknowledging the four people who made up the startup team that began Digital’s journey in Galway back in 1971 – Cy Kendrick, Paul McGaunn, Mike Mulqueen and Bruce Ryan. The plaque was unveiled by Bruce Ryan who travelled from the US for the occasion.
